We select only the finest cuts of organic pork from traditional breeds for our nitrate free bacon.
Our free range organic bacon is free from both nitrates and nitrites. It is made with a traditional cure consisting of just sea salt and molasses which are used to draw out the moisture from the bacon over a period of two weeks. We then wash the bacon to remove excess salt, and hang for a further 10 days to produce a truly spectacular traditional bacon!
*Please be aware that the amount of fat on our bacon can vary due to the natural lifestyle of our pigs. During the winter months especially, the pigs fatten up so the rashers can be up to 50% fat at times*
