Enhanced Burger Recipe

Guest Recipe: Enhanced Beef Burgers

Enhanced Beef Burger Recipe – Suitable for Paleo / Keto

Today’s “Enhanced Beef Burger” recipe is provided by Selma Harman, Registered Nutritional Therapist, at www.SelmaHarmanNutrition.com.

These burgers are “enhanced” with organic grass-fed beef liver – one of the most nutritionally dense foods on the planet, but not always to everyone’s taste. By sneaking the liver into these delicious burgers, you can nourish the whole family while avoiding tantrums at the dinner table!

Total Time Needed :

30

Minutes

Total Cost:

£6.00

You will need:

– Food Processor
– Mixing Bowl
– Griddle Pan

Ingredients:

– 1 Medium Onion (Grated/Finely Chopped)
– Salt & Pepper to Taste
– 1tbs Coconut Oil
– 10 slices of thinly sliced watermelon radishes
OR 2 Roasted Portabello Mushrooms
OR Lettuce Leaves (to use in place of bread bun)

Method:

Grass Fed Beef Liver

Step 1

Whiz the liver in the food processor until is finely chopped and then transfer into a large mixing bowl.

Step 2

Add minced beef to the chopped liver, onion, salt and paper to taste.

Step 3

Knead this mixture for 5 min to combine all the ingredients but also to make sure that the proteins stick to each other, as we are not using anything else to bind them. You will notice mixture becoming more stickier the longer you knead it.

Step 4

Form the enhanced beef burger patties using your hands. They can be big or small… you decide! Refrigerate for 30 min to rest the meat.

Step 5

Cook on a medium heat in a griddle pan or under the grill to your liking. Remember, if you are going to under-cook your burgers, make sure you know where the meat is coming from. This is why I always buy mine from Green Pasture Farms! 😉
