How it works
Value through Variety
The concept behind Green Pasture Farms is to bring value to the customer, whilst being kinder to the environment.
If everyone orders “legs of lamb”, this does not make efficient use of the animal, and it drives up the price of that particular cut. Instead, we simply give you the choice of meat type and basic cut type – I.e. “Lamb Roasting Joint”.
By doing this we can ensure every single part of each animal we butcher gets used. This is not only more ethical, but enables us to offer you much better value for money.
You can even take it one step further by leaving your meat option open and just choosing “Roasting Joint”, which could come from either Grass Fed Beef, Lamb, or Pastured Pork. The more open you leave the options, the more value we can offer you.
There are two main ways in which to shop on our site:
Build Your Own Box for a one off Delivery
Browse the different product categories to see the different types of cut we offer; Primal Cuts, Odd Cuts, Deli Items and Selection Packs.
Each contains products in denominations of £5, £10, or £20 which can be customised to your own personal preferences. The amount of meat you will receive will vary depending upon the meat and cut type, but we try to give an indication of how many portions to expect in each pack.
Build you box, customising each product as much or as little as you like. Bear in mind, the more open you leave the options, the better value we can offer you.
Customise one of our Selection Boxes for Weekly or Monthly Delivery
By purchasing in bulk and on a regular basis, we can really squeeze our margins and offer you the highest quality produce at fantastic value.
We offer two sizes of free range meat boxes – Regular and Large. Each can be delivered either weekly or monthly. Weekly orders receive an extra discount.
The basic boxes can be tailored to your individual tastes by selecting preferences over inclusive meat and cut types. You can then add extra items at an extra cost to make the perfect box for you and your family.
There is no minimum term contract, so you are free to cancel at any time by just giving us one weeks notice via email to let us know.
You can add extra items into your orders by using the “Box Top Up” add on if you are planning a large dinner, barbecue or for the holidays etc.
Delivery Options + Payment
Once you have created/customised your box, all you need to do is let us know where you would like it to be delivered, and if you have any special delivery options.
If you are not going to be in when our driver calls you can leave instructions to leave it somewhere out of site, or with a neighbour. The box will keep your food chilled for up to another 24 hours from when it is delivered, so there is no need to worry about hurrying home!

We accept payment via all major cards and paypal. If you choose to go for weekly or monthly delivery options, you will be debited automatically as we dispatch each order. If you wish to cancel at any time, all you need to do is notify us in writing by email using the contact form, at least 7 days prior to your next delivery.
Cow Pooling
We do offer a third way to purchase our meat – One whole animal at a time! To get the ultimate economies of scale, bulk by an entire cow, sheep or pig. For more details check our Cow Share page.
